Of all the characters available to center this publication around, why was the cavalier chosen?

Cavalier [ kav-uh–leer, kav–uh-leer ]

Noun: one having the spirit or bearing of a knight; a courtly gentleman; gallant.

To put it simply, I believe the cavalier is the caliber of man needed to deliver our country from the crisis on the horizon, and it perfectly represents the Southern men that must do it.

Our Crisis

This is not the country our founding fathers envisioned, and it has not been for a while now. Like everything else in our post-modern world, American freedom is hollow and superficial.

Our elected representatives are not at the helm, which means we, the people, are not at the helm. In our stead is a combination of societal elites, shadowy government agencies, large corporations, and propagandists steering the country full sail towards authoritarianism and decadence. 

We are controlled through ubiquitous propaganda, overfed and over-entertained to the point of docility, and given just a big enough crumb of actual freedom to keep our overweight, undereducated, and effeminate masses from doing a damned thing about it. The corruption is now so widely known and accepted, our leaders and the establishment barely even attempt to disguise it anymore; it is now on open display–but still, we do nothing! While the establishment is at war with both left and right, we are so divided that it no longer matters. The left has chosen its side, and it is with the establishment that wants to enslave us. 

The FBI worked with democrats to incriminate a sitting President, big tech openly censors conservative voices, every facet of our entertainment pushes degeneracy, corporations proudly target our children, and the leading political figure of half of the country was just federally indicted. We are divided on every political issue and no longer share the basic values needed to productively coexist. We are attempting to live in two different versions of America that have become too ideologically separated. All signs point to conflict. 

Our Solution

The solution to our current crisis is what it always is when we face an existential threat–good men. Whenever I reflect on the horrible state our country is in, there’s always this instant when I close my eyes and daydream about fighting the establishment. The man I imagine is always the same: the Southern cavalier. I see a distinguished and confident gentleman with a plumed hat sitting formally on his head, rearing his horse and valiantly drawing his saber, holding it in the air and pointing the tip of the glimmering blade toward the tyrant, ready to lead a charge. 

The cavalier is disciplined, responsible, intelligent, gallant, and dashing. He is genteel and possesses a strict adherence to the word of God, but he is ready to fight and die if the proper respect and courtesy he gives is not reciprocated. I see a man that holds his personal honor above all else but God and a man that will not sacrifice that honor for any amount of gold, public shame, or personal danger. If that caliber of man was the norm, if the cavalier was the standard, as it once was, and they were tasked with the leadership of the county, as they once were, no amount of corruption, intentional degradation, or foreign subversion could defeat us. 

Our Destiny

Our men, our young men in particular, yearn for those high standards, expectations, responsibilities, and discipline. Their hearts long for the return to a societal structure they know is right and just–one that is governed by God. That desire has always been there, lying dormant in the psyche of Southern men for years; we simply need to awaken, encourage, and channel it. 

They hunger for the return of the cavalier because it is ingrained in our DNA. You can trace our cavalier blood from the chivalrous Anglo and French knights that went to war to protect Christian pilgrims in the Holy Land, to the Scottish highlanders that settled disputes with fists and swords, from the daring few who crossed the Atlantic for a chance at a better life and settled Jamestown, settling a New World and living off the land that we would come to love so dearly. We inherited it from our forefathers, who stood up to a tyrant King, and from their grandchildren, who, a hundred years later, stood up to an overreaching federal government despite its overwhelming numbers and resources.

The cavalier spirit can and will deliver us from tyranny, corruption, and degeneracy. We just need the courage to stand up to our enemies and declare them as such. The permanent forever government in Washington is, and has been, at war with you, your country, your culture, your honor, your women, and your children. We beat this formidable enemy by becoming better men. We must dedicate ourselves to continuous spiritual, physical, and intellectual improvement. 

Our Publication

This is a publication for southern gentlemen and aspiring ones; who refuse to sit back and watch the destruction of their culture, ethnicity, values, and faith. This is a digital parlour room for all gentlemen– warriors, farmers, tradesmen, business owners, landowners, artists, and intellectuals–to come together and accept the responsibility of becoming better men; and with it, the fate of our country.

In short, I am but a humble and aspiring cavalier; one that has sheathed his saber and picked up a quill in a last-ditch effort to deliver our country before I am forced to draw the former again.
